What is the scope of the two projects?

For the two projects, Brookfield Renewable Power would install about 94 turbines to generate approximately 217 MW of renewable energy, plus underground and overhead electrical collection lines and other ancillary facilities such as turbine access roads and a substation. The environmental assessment study area for the two projects is approximately 55,000 hectares in size. The land area required for the project’s infrastructure would be approximately 53 to 89 hectares – less than 1% of the study area. How much electricity would the two wind farm produce?

The two wind farms would produce enough electricity to power approximately 71,000 houses.

What happens after the Power Purchase Agreement with the Ontario Power Authority for the Gosfield and Comber projects expires?

At that point, Brookfield Renewable Power would seek other markets for the power generated.
